So first thing we did upon arriving to Italy was go to the Pacific Hotel. They gave us a free meal even though we were about an hour late to our dinner date. I was surprised when they brought us all rigatoni with pesto sauce. It was super yummy! Most of us just assumed that’s all we had so we ate most of it. But then they brought us the second course, which was meat, potatoes, and salad. Plus some gelato, which was Rosemary flavored…it tasted like bubble gum, we didn’t eat much of it. Then we wandered around the town and just had to stop at Old Bridge Gelateria for our first Italian gelato experience. Then we took a light stroll to St. Peters Basilica. Which isn’t actually the cathedral. The main cathedral isn’t even in the Vatican. To be a cathedral it must have a cathedra; which St. Peters does not. Food for thought J It was beautiful and it started to rain while there which was amazing and I obviously danced around in the rain. It was a spectacular first night.
